People have difficulty blocking people that they’re into. It’s a very rare thing when that happens and they’d have to be pushed to the very very edge after a long period of time to even consider it

Agree!  I recall blocking a guy I was still very into, then I unblocked, then blocked, unblocked, then decided to keep him unblocked!

It was quite difficult and emotional tbh.

I don’t have his number anymore. It’s really not a big deal. Also, me telling him I do not wish to stay in touch is really more of a me telling myself that was the end of that for good. I was never super into this guy from the first place but it was more of a me obsessing about the potentials and the possibility. The clouds have cleared for me long ago since we already did the on and off thing.

Also, there was never drama between us. We got along really well and if I were someone who would be looking for casual only, I’d still be seeing him now. So no need for blocking really. I’d feel bad for blocking someone who never treated me badly.

I guess I just don’t get the obsession over blocking someone. When I’m done, I’m done.

I have only ever blocked one ex a long time ago but that was back when I had depression and severe anxiety and he was extremely toxic.

Haha yea exactly. It doesn’t count if you block and then unblock a little while later!!! I get the idea. It’s so that they won’t be swayed into falling back into it the person contacts them, . However, from what I have seen on this forum and others, when the person in the thread is told to block the person for that reason, they almost always say nope they won’t do it, it’s not necessary ... until it is necessary then it becomes block /unblock or block but leave a tiny channel of communication open... it should be block everywhere and throw away that number they are no good for you! 👏
