My brother is autistic, and sometimes I will recommend to him certain movies to check out, but then my parents tell me not to, and that I am too much of a bad influence because even though he is 32, his mind is closer to that of an 8 year old more so. But I don't know... I mean if you are 32, shouldn't you be allowed to watch what you want, or am I perhaps being too close minded about it, and I should pay more attention to his development?  Am I too much of a bad influence, even though I am not forcing him, just recomending?

Listen to your parents.

Oh okay.  I just think that he is also not going to advance more, if he sticks do watching things an 8 year old would watch though for example.  Isn't advancement, good?

Watching restricted movies will not help him advance at all. You need to leave that to professionals who are educated and trained to help autistic people grow and advance. You should also take your parents advice, they have been involved in his care and know exactly what to do. Sure you might have been to some degree, but i can assure you not to the degree your parents have.

Oh okay.  Well he doesn't have any professionals working with him though on things like that.  Another thing is, he will often tell my parents they are being double standard-ish, since I can watch whatever I want compared to him, so if he argues a double standard, how should I handle that?

What movies in particular have they said No to?    Is he allowed to watch, say, Star Wars, Spiderman, Deadpool?

Star Wars and Spiderman are okay, not Deadpool.  Parasite is a recent one the parents had doubts about for example.
