buzzie2 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I just started a new job today at the clothing department of a new superstore. The store hasnt been built yet, it's still under construction. I met my boss and two of my coworkers. I got along really well with my coworkers and boss at first, She had us cleaning display tables that had dust on them which took a couple hours. Then she had us putting clothes on the tables. She told me TWICE that I wasnt pilling them neatly enough even though I was doing the best job I could. She was being harder on me then the other two that I was working with and I'm not sure why because I was working just as hard. I was so stressed out by the end of the shift that I came home with a monster headache and felt like I was going to vomit. I really want this job to work out. My next shift is tomorrow, what could I say or do to really impress my boss?
xXSURFAGEXx Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Well,if you had a monster headache and you did want to vomit. Then quit your job and find another job with a good pay and a good heart boss.
Maria46 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Maybe the boss knows that you have more potential and is pushing you a bit harder. When I had people working for me, I knew who could put out the work and get things done as they should be done. They are the ones that I knew would always get even the worst job done, even though it wasn't the most fun. I may have pushed them a bit harder too. But where are these people now? They aren't doing the crappy jobs anymore. That's a "maybe" though. Hang in there for a few days and see if things change. Some days even your best friends can rub you the wrong way. Keep a smile on your face!
