How is everyone dealing with dating in this day and age? More specifically, intimacy. After how many dates do you feel comfortable to talk about kissing without sounding like a virgin? Things we took for granted before now feel complicated, it's almost like having that talk before having sex without protection.

Has the plague also changed the way you communicate or expect to communicate between dates? This feels like uncharted waters to me and I'm trying not to stress over something that I'm enjoying so far, but I feel like in the before times things would have moved way faster if it wasn't for the plague. So that's got me feeling kind of disappointed and I'm craving affection to the point that I feel like I could possibly be with the wrong person. I just don't know for sure.

Seriously? Why? I don’t get it.

I don't think it's weird or off the hook, but maybe no one is actually dating anyone new right now and so has nothing to offer.  Honestly I don't think I would be interested in even bothering to get to know someone new right now, but that's easy to say since I haven't had to deal with that issue.  If I wasn't seeing someone from before COVID hit, maybe I would be open to it.

I think the answers to the questions you're asking are going to vary widely, depending on how people see the pandemic and how they are handling their interactions with people in general.  The trick I guess is to meet someone new that has the same views and risk tolerances that you have.

Are you trying to meet someone new? It sounds like you are with someone but they are using the pandemic as a reason to keep their distance from you.  If that's the case, depending on how long you've been "with" them, maybe you are with the wrong person.  I took an 8 week break from seeing anyone in person at all, the guy I was seeing from before was away most of that time taking the opportunity to be out in the middle of nowhere fishing.  But after 8 weeks we started seeing each other again and spend several days/nights a week together now, COVID doesn't affect us being together.

If you are worried, stay home.  Personally, I am not about to let any inflated virus slow my roll.  Do you wear tight jeans and vote dem?  Come on man.....

Honest, I am an educated science guy and very confident the infected numbers are WAY higher but are asymptomatic but like any virus, we have to be aware of mutations.

Truth, you have a right for your concern, but do you want to live in the basement?  Stay healthy and live life man!
