birdybird7775 Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 Has anyone ever experienced defamation of character because a friend couldn't admit/own up to something they have done? More than once I've seen this with some guys that have been in relationships, but thought well of another woman. However, the other woman was the one they tried to make look bad after they couldn't own up to mistakes and/or upsetting her. Almost like they want to forget she exists after they are ashamed of doing something wrong and/or seeing her hurt. Usually the defamation of character is told to the girlfriend, not the world. It is like why even upset your girlfriend about someone she doesn't know, especially when you never thought ill of the person you are trying to put down? Is it due to too much hurt and projecting it elsewhere? I don't get it. Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Unfortunately a lot of people talk trash about thier exes to make themselves look better. Avoid listening to it. Try not to use legal terms to describe things that are simply in bad taste. 1
