Is it wrong to date my ex boyfriend's friend? I'm honestly confused and unsure of the answer. I'm sorry if this question is stupid.

Your Q is not stupid & there is nothing to be sorry about asking.

The answer depends on how close the friends are.  If the new guy is your EX's BFF he'd be a bad friend for ditching his buddy to date the buddy's EX.  If your love is so strong that he's willing to ditch the friendship that is fine

There is nothing wrong on your end but understand your EX isn't going to want you around his friend group.  Even if his buddy is just a peripheral friend, there will be no harmony for all of you as a group.

It’s only wrong if you feel it’s wrong.
How long ago did you and the ex break up?
How long were you together?
How close is your ex to his friend?
what does the guy your thinking of going out with think about it all?

I never dated anyone's ex BF, but I had friends that did date/sleep with my ex BFs. I couldn't have cared less about it. Exes for a reason! All the power to them.

Guys rule...you don’t date your good friend ex gf without his blessing.

if it was a big breakup...the friend likrly knows some of the details of you bring thrown under the bus.

I think it's wrong personally I wouldn't be impressed with my mate at all and would finish the friendship

I think its wrong. Because  you said friend not acquaintance.

You have to put yourself in his position, would you like it if one of your friends dated another ex of yours for eg.
