feelin bad Posted October 9, 2005 Posted October 9, 2005 my friend of 7 years came to town on thursday to stay through the weekend. well, i had 3 gigs ( i am a musician) and also had to work on friday, but i told her that we could hang out at nights. well, she complained constantly about being bored and not having fun and how selfish i was and threatened to leave several times. should i have dropped everything (dropped 2 gigs but not work and the other gig) to hang out with this girl? she is kindof rich and has no work ethic, so i guess she just doesnt understand we had 2 major arguments where i literally wanted her to leave right then or she wanted to leave. she even called her other friend to talk bad about me right in front of her. not to mention, said some really insulting things to me about being selfish and annoying my other friends, talking about my boyfriend too much. should i drop this girl as a friend?
Silas25 Posted October 10, 2005 Posted October 10, 2005 I am not sure about the dropping her as a friend, seven years is a long time, but I wouldn't go out of my way to entertain or invite her anywhere anymore. She might complain or be unhappy with that, but it sounds like she is the selfish one. If she knew you had to work, then she shouldn't have expected you to be her soul entertainment and should have tried to make plans another time. It sounds like she might be alittle jealous of somethings about your life and she may have just been mad she felt that way. Money doesn't buy everything and she might be starting to realize this.
