Hello I just want some advice really I’ve been with my boyfriend for around 4 years I moved around 120 miles away when I moved in with him around 2 years ago. To visit my family I have to get a train as I can’t drive and I am highly thinking about leaving him. I’m not attracted to him anymore but I’m undecided as I’ve made friends at my job I’m a carer you see I’ve been there for a year and I’m currently doing my NVQ2 with the company. But I’m worried that if I leave him I’ll have to move back to my parents, leave doing my NVQ, leaving my job and leaving most of my belongings and that is if I don’t have to do a month work before leaving also. I’m just on the fence I’ve told him a couple of days ago whilst I’m seeing my family Because my nana has just died. My emotions are quite high at the moment, my mental health isn’t very good due to this virus and I’m just sick of him always talking down to me and acting childish, he’s always angry all the time.
I don’t know whether to wait until this Period with the virus is over and then deciding. Has anybody else being in this situation and advice please.

Can you pack and ship your belongings and do your NVQ2 at a similar job near your parents?  I don't know anything about NVQ2s btw.

This relationship is over.  You're not attracted to him and you guys fight all the time.  All the other stuff you mention is not a reason to stay in a relationship.  You have to end the relationship, and then all the other stuff.... the job stuff, moving, whatever, well you're going to have to figure that stuff out.  It makes no sense to stay in a dead relationship just because of a job, or to wait until COVID is over.  COVID might be going on for a very long time.  Are you going to put your life on hold?

Because it’s with a company if I was to pull out I’d have to pay for it which it’s around £500 and then redo my work if I wanted to do it again as I can’t submit the same work as it’d be plagiarised even though it’s my work. Where my mum works I can redo it but I have to start at the beginning. I could ship them that’s not a bad idea.

I agree only problem is if work expects me to do a months notice I’d have nowhere to go but I’ll have a think on how to do this. Thank you for your advice x

I would just start over where your mom is.  Plus you will have her support and good cooking to keep up your strength.  It would be harder to finish being around him and his bad attitude.  If you ship your stuff will probably be there before you.

So then do a month's notice.  A month is not that long, in that time you can formulate your plan to move out, get everything in order, etc.
