TheDiva Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 My nephew and his girlfriend had their baby last night:bunny: Though its not such a good thing as she was born at 26/27 weeks:( But she is so far doing well and the doctors have a great outlook for her. But as she was born to soon of course she is tiny, not to mention its in her genes to be small anyway. She weighs 1 pound 9 ounces. Her foot is about as long as the tip of your pinky finger and her head is about as big as a tennis ball. My problem is I want to find some preemie clothes because I know they were ill prepared as they weren't expecting her until January. Does anyone know of any chain stores or Online stores where I can start looking for clothes that may fit her when she is able to come home?? I know it will be a while and complications could develop but I am trying to stay on the positive side. The diapers the hospital is putting on her are even smaller than some of my daughter's dolls! so I would imagine clothes are gonna be a hard find and with fall/winter weather around the corner she will need warm clothes. Not clothes that ill fit and may fall off. Any help would be appreciated! And if your the prayin' sort those are appreciated as well.
LucreziaBorgia Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 My daughter (28 weeks) wore a lot of 'Little Me' brand clothing that people had given us once she hit the 5 pound mark and was able to come home. A good deal of chain stores have preemie clothing now. I know Target carries some Little Me stuff. I'm sure they have a few other brands too.
slubberdegullion Posted October 7, 2005 Posted October 7, 2005 Ask some of the hospital staff. I'm sure this question comes up all the time.
Author TheDiva Posted October 7, 2005 Author Posted October 7, 2005 Thank you both. I will certainly check both places. I had a preemie but he was only a month early, so he was pretty much normal size in no time, after losing rapid weight in the beginning and I didn't buy his preemie clothes so I didn't know where to begin to look.
