I am a man in my early 40’s and finally I have found my life partner and solemate. She is from the Manila  Philippines and a year older than me. I was born in New Zealand and brought up in the UK as I have a New Zealand mum and a UK dad. So that means I have 2 passports one UK passport and the other is a New Zealand passport. In my mid 20’s I lived in Auckland in New Zealand abd I also lived in Sydney in Australia. My girlfriend just has a Philippine passport. Yes we plan to get married at some point. I have mild Aspergers and so have struggled to fit into the UK way of life. My girlfriend has to teenage boys one at university in Manila and the other about to finish school next year some time. We are planning to live together in Cornwall in the UK. We also talk about her younger son coming to live with us at some point. I know Australia and Cornwall and New Zealand very well. I love Cornwall and Australia very much but the weather in Cornwall is not great. I also love Phuket and Singapore and Spain. Anyhow which would be easier  for us to settle down in and have a great life together and which country out of Australia and Cornwall in the would be her best chance of getting a good paid job and be happy in?

Singapore is expensive with super strict laws. Plus it’s Hot as hell in summer.

I’d rule that one out.

I was talking about if it’s best for me and my Filipina partner to live in uk or Australia. As I do not need a visa for either place and my girlfriend she will need a visa. I know both places well. Just wonder which was be best for her?

You have not explained what her skill set is.

Move to Canada for a fresh start.

When you say she is your "life partner" what exactly do you mean, have you lived together before? The quality of life in both the UK and Australia is perfectly fine and far better than anything you will get in Manila. There is a bigger Pinoy community in Australia than in the UK, if that helps.

Realistically speaking, your main barrier here will be the visa. If you have lived together (for 1+ year), in Australia and NZ that makes you "de facto partners" and she will be entitled to apply for a partner visa. In Singapore (and I believe also the UK) you will have to get married if you want to have any chance of getting a visa.

It largely depends on her professional qualifications and experience, I would expect.

The UK is introducing a new points-based immigration system soon; it may be worth looking into it.

Norway. Denmark. Sweden. Finland. Finland has a 36 year old prime-minster who wants to shorten the work week down to 3 days, 5 hours of work. I mean seriously? Makes me want to go back and be born in Finland lol.
