That may be a young person but it may also be an older person who doesn't want to deal with older kids. Older grown up kids may be just as bad or even more difficult than small kids, if they don't like their parents new "date" Some people have done the kids thing and don't want to go there again. Some people want their own kids and don't want to spend time with kids that are not their own, Not everyone is overjoyed at the prospect of being a "step parent". If the kids are not on board with Mom or Dad dating again or have their own issues then it can be a difficult and hard journey. Some people just want no hassle and an easier life... On match.com you can set it as a filter- 'no kids'.

On match is is one of the basic fields you fill out so if it is blank it's very apparent. IIRC there are several choices, no kids, no kids and don't want them, no kids but OK if partner has kids, have kids and want more, have kids and don't want more, etc. It even tells you if you are matched or not on this. This is one filter the algorithm does not appear to ignore unlike the distance one. Edited March 4, 2020 by SumGuy 1

simpycurious Posted March 4, 2020 Posted March 4, 2020 I thought this topic was OUR parents dating. Glad that I read through this cause I wouldn't want to think about my parents dating others. Why don't you ask him if he has kids ?
