Keslove Posted October 6, 2005 Posted October 6, 2005 Been kind of dating this girl for a month now, and I just got the "not sure that we click" line (Biggest thing was that she wasn't looking for a relationship). When asked if she would like to put effort into remaining friends, she said "yes". Except for a few intimate moments (no sex) we've practically been just friends from the start. By "not sure that we click" was she just saying that the dating thing wasn't working out for her, and that she was trying to let me down easy? Personally I think we've clicked on a broad basis (interests, conversation, etc.), and we've talked on the phone practically everyday or every other day. Part of me is just receiving mixed messages from that "not clicking" comment. Just looking to quell this from my brain. Really haven't had much luck in the past keeping dates as friends once the dating has ended, so I'm really hoping this turns out differently.

I think you answered your own question. That's what it sounds like to me from what you're describing. If you also just want to be friends with her, (and making sure here you don't put up your hopes for more) just keep doing what you're doing, chatting etc as you would with any other friend and see how that goes. If she does truly want to be just your friend, then all should be ok.
