ljwentworth32 Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Is there such a thing as too much texting in a relationship? I know many recommend only using text to set up dates and maybe a little bit of banter. thats what I tried to do. I find sometimes when I text too much, I text my thoughts too loosely and get myself into trouble and then regret saying what I said. Thus, I tend to text less and try to just see who I'm trying to date as long as the feeling is mutual. what about you guys/?
Miss Spider Posted February 12, 2020 Posted February 12, 2020 Depends on the people. I don’t like texting much, so it’s very easy to be too much for me. It’s best to use moderation and read the situation. If the person is responding slower/not asking follow up questions to keep the conversation flowing naturally, you might be texting too much for them. 2
scooby-philly Posted February 13, 2020 Posted February 13, 2020 OP, So you've self identified a problem. That points to an easy solution: Keep texting to a minimum initially If the other person texts too much tell them about the issue you have When needed - ask for clarification on intent/meaning of a text before assuming it
