ljwentworth32 Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 So I wanted to start a thread with your favorite date idea or ideas. It is meant to help the community because 100 + minds is better than one. Please list one or a few of your favorite dates you've been on and what you did. Mine so far has been Aquarium sightseeing at night followed by fancy chef prepared sushi dinner right in front of you. What's yours?
CautiouslyOptimistic Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Just getting in the car on a nice spring or fall day, opening the sun roof, listening to music, and driving with no destination in mind, stopping here and there as you feel like it for drinks or photos or stopping in a shop. Memories are made. 2
jspice Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Some of my best dates are places we could just talk. I hate movie dates. One of the more memorable nights I spent with someone- we’d gone out for dinner and I went back to his place to pick my car up. We ended up listening to music for a bit and dancing in his living room. I have two left feet but he patiently manoeuvred me around room. I still think about it often. A cooking class could be fun. Trivia contest at a bar or other games ( I’m not really competitive so I don’t care much about winning or losing. I also don’t like people who are super competitive and let it get personal, so this would give me a look into their personality). i don’t enjoy exercise on a date. That’s for my own time but some people like hiking or rock climbing. Water sports like snorkelling or paddle boarding. Paintball. 1

nospam99 Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Downhill skiing Water skiing Ballroom dancing Active hiking - with rock scrambling in hills and forests Long bicycle rides - and I have no objection to rail trails Tennis, golf, bowling, boating, some other 'recreational' sport Cooking together Used to do scuba, but between the equipment, filling the tanks, and finding an interesting place, it's pretty niche I also have no objection to less 'active' stuff: museums, galleries, concerts, zoos, theater (high school musicals!, dinner theater), and the old reliables dinner and a movie or Netflix and chill (heh heh)

nospam99 Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 @ljwentworth32. Thanks and LOL. 'Unfortunately' I'm 65 y/o. Women who are willing to date a man my age AND interested in my active date ideas are rare.
alphamale Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 My best date was back in 1991 when I was 26. A friend of the family's cousin was staying with them. She was from England and had the cutest accent. And she was HOT HOT HOT. So I first met her at a BBQ and talked with her for a couple of hours. I asked her if she would like to go to Cedar Point (amusement park) with me and she said yes. So the next week on Saturday we set out for the park which was 2.5 hours away. I was so attracted to her that I had a boner all day long. It was not easy to hide in the shorts I was wearing. We went on the coasters and ate food and did a lot of talking. Turns out we had a lot in common. Omg she was the perfect girl for me but unfortunately she live across the pond. So I dropped her off at my family friend's house and we had a nice long kiss but we went our separate ways. She gave me her phone # in England. I did call her a few times and we talked and she invited me to the UK. I never did go. But, to this day, almost 30 years later I still remember her and the few magical days we spent together. 1
