Would talking to someone you know personally in person online be different? I think it would?

Yes.  People are very different online and in person.  One study showed that you only know about 40 percent of a person if you are only knowing them online.

Oh yes. Mannerisms and facial expressions are a significant part of interaction and you cannot get a sense of that through text.
