There are tons of ways you can survive easily without it....For one, maybe these people should stop eating so damned much...Of all the people I saw video's of fighting(mostly Sumo sized women), they could stand to cut back a bit as a first task in dealing with this...Otherwise, while not getting too graphic, there are ways you can keep your aszhole clean without tons of TP....Diapers for kids were once not disposable....I know...hard to believe, right?? And it's a moot point anyway....The shelves are getting restocked daily.... Also..I cant believe the knee jerk reaction and sharing of every little bit of news on this...Its just perpetuating the panic and winding people up...If someone had nefarious intentions, they certainly achieved their mission... America is really showing how weak we really are with all of this.... TFY 3

When Toronto's first case came in we were aware already of the virus situation in China, it didn't hit us by surprise we expected it and this man being Asian knew of the virus symptoms so he reported himself. I am not pulling this out of my hat, all studies are showing each country develop the virus in the same way, that is why it's imperative to shut down everything asap even if you have only 1 case. That's not the case I;m referring to. At the same time, there were at least four ( or more)other cases that got sick but never presented themselves to the health care system until days or even weeks later. Add to this the thousands who travelled from China, either directly or through other routes, before the borders were closed. So where is then corresponding outbreak of the virus between then and now.

Therefore I view it as giving me a break as they climb off my @$$ and focus on creative TP storage solutions. Edited March 18, 2020 by sothereiwas 1

Very much so. 6 minutes ago, pepperbird said: Stop with the fear mongering. Caution is certainly warranted, but this type of talk does more harm than good. Is that so? Quote One week ago, Italy had 2,502 cases of the virus, which causes the disease known as COVID-19. At that point, doctors in the country’s hospitals could still perform the most lifesaving functions by artificially ventilating patients who experienced acute breathing difficulties. Quote Elise A. Mitchell: The shortages may be worse than the disease Today, Italy has 10,149 cases of the coronavirus. There are now simply too many patients for each one of them to receive adequate care. Doctors and nurses are unable to tend to everybody. They lack machines to ventilate all those gasping for air. Quote Now the Italian College of Anesthesia, Analgesia, Resuscitation and Intensive Care (SIAARTI) has published guidelines for the criteria that doctors and nurses should follow as these already extraordinary circumstances worsen. The document begins by likening the moral choices Italian doctors may face to the forms of wartime triage that are required in the field of “catastrophe medicine.” Instead of providing intensive care to all patients who need it, the authors suggest, it may become necessary to follow “the most widely shared criteria regarding distributive justice and the appropriate allocation of limited health resources.” Let's trust what the orange President has to say. Quote Let’s Never Forget That Trump and Fox News Started as Coronavirus Truthers Quote January 22: “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China. It’s going to be just fine.” February 2: “We pretty much shut it down coming in from China.” February 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA… Stock Market starting to look very good to me!” February 25: “CDC and my Administration are doing a GREAT job of handling Coronavirus.” February 25: “I think that's a problem that’s going to go away… They have studied it. They know very much. In fact, we’re very close to a vaccine.” February 26: “The 15 (cases in the US) within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero.” February 27: “One day it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.” February 28: “Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus, you know that, right? Coronavirus, they’re politicizing it. We did one of the great jobs. You say, ‘How’s President Trump doing?’ They go, ‘Oh, not good, not good.’ They have no clue. They don’t have any clue. They can’t even count their votes in Iowa.” “They tried the impeachment hoax. That was on a perfect conversation. They tried anything. They tried it over and over. They’d been doing it since you got in. It’s all turning. They lost. It’s all turning. Think of it. Think of it. And this is their new hoax.” March 2: “You take a solid flu vaccine, you don't think that could have an impact, or much of an impact, on corona?” How a brain-damaged/Alzheimer's diseased, failed businessman gets elected to the most powerful position in the world sure beats me. carhill Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 Quote President Trump announced Wednesday that he will invoke the Defense Production Act (DPA), which would allow the administration to force American industry to manufacture medical supplies that are in short supply in the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. Hospitals, health workers and state and local officials have said they are quickly running out of personal protective equipment (PPE), like masks, gowns and gloves, that are crucial to keeping doctors and nurses on the front lines of the pandemic safe. https://thehill.com/policy/healthcare/488226-trump-invokes-defense-production-act-as-coronavirus-response

Ruby Slippers Posted March 18, 2020 Posted March 18, 2020 I stopped at the grocery store on the way home from the office. My area hasn't been hit hard compared to most. Traffic was maybe 30% lighter than usual. My favorite grocery store in the middle of the city was fairly well-stocked. I was able to find 90% of what I wanted. Low supply on some things - never in my lifetime before now have I seen such small baskets of such small onions and the like, but nothing major was missing beyond the usual hand sanitizers, etc. I got a little more than usual just because I'm working from home and want to minimize trips out. What I noticed most of all is there's this palpable emotional fatigue and edginess in people. They're being softer, kinder, and silently reaching out for some human kindness, which I was happy to extend. The normally relaxed mood was a bit somber as people quietly shuffled through the aisles assessing the availability of items. I thanked the grocery store workers many times for being there, saw a couple of them visibly sigh and release tension at being acknowledged. It's a happy coincidence that my cofriender and I showed up at the office at the same time, totally unplanned. It was really good to see her. We're both coming alive in preparation for whatever's coming next. Hang in there, everybody! 1 1

And an older lady at the pool was very cranky with me yesterday because she overhead my conversation about how I'd been doing grocery drop offs for a family who's quarantined after the covid related death of their mother. I explained that the family had all tested negative, were masked and I was keeping a distance.....but she was furious for reasons which I cannot understand. She thinks they should be all shut away in hospital I can only imagine that such a cow will have nobody to drop groceries off for her if she's quarantined. Some over 65yos are not even getting assessed, never mind ventilated. Easier to filter due to age, than have to try to work out who is fitter or healthier. That's because Italy's population is extremely aged, and there are very few young people. And by young, the Italians mean those who are 45-50... Italy also has one of the lowest birth rates in the world. European governaments have been trying for years to kickstart the birth rates by offering bonuses in money, tax cuts, easier access to housing for every baby a couple produces. In some European Countries they've made school textbooks free from age 5 to age 17. Pretty much won't take long for college in all of Europe to be free. The governament even goes on TV broadcasting documentaries with doctors and such telling the citizens how if they don't start reproducing their Countries will vanish, and the only reason they're still keeping social security afloat is because they import immense numbers of immigrants from South America, Africa, and India. It's kinda hilarious because young people are becoming more and more valuable than gold, as aged nations need new workers to enter the workplace, new economical agents, and new people to pay taxes and property taxes etc. Edited March 18, 2020 by Azincourt
