I don't mean fat. My father is a very broad shouldered/solid torso guy. He's a natural mesomorph & very strong (e.g. lifting 100lb barbells, no steroids when younger/gym goer). Where he's from in the UK even before genetic research (confirmed in a way by legit genetic research not 23&me, a local has 7 times the saxon/viking dna as he did celtic) it was seen by historians/researchers as a rather teutonic region & to be a bit silly if you thought of a Viking he'd fit the stature/mold.

I inherited his stature. Solid/heavy bone & solid/broad torso. Strong. I'm not fat. I am actually quite physically fit. I don't have something like a man's jaw or anything like that (my features get a lot of compliments actually) it's just I'm no slim, no real bone (or muscle) mass, girlie girl.

As in all things attraction, different folks like different things.  I certainly gravitate more to this body type in women than the slim / model type.   So yah, your body type does it for me big time, no pun intended.

A bit late to this thread, but I just wanted to say that when it comes to dating, beauty really is in the eye of the beholder.

I work weekends in a nightclub where hostesses walk around in skimpy outfits. The girls I work with couldn’t be more different from each other, in terms of looks, height and body types/sizes and definitely don’t all fit the mould of IG model. Patrons all have their favourite hostesses of course, but ALL the hostesses have guys who come for them, and they ALL get tipped well. (Yes, one of the girls fits the OP’s physical description of herself, and she is super popular with guys.) Recently there was a new girl whom I’d describe as pale, short and stocky (around 5 foot with short legs and very solid), and guys love her too! (In fact, there’s a group who come in only when she’s rostered on.) Honestly you’d be surprised. Working there has made me realise that for the average woman, there’ll always be a guy out there who thinks you’re attractive. People are way less judgemental about your looks than you think. As women, we really are our own worst critics :)

Later 20s. In all honesty, nothing much different from a more typically slender friend. Like said the stature's the issue not the personality or looks. I am & look fit. It can be intimidating to some guys whose MO is rather petite girls but all in all there's really no terrible deviation.

Whenever I have body issues, I have to ask where that voice is coming from. It's from my mother and my sister. Way back when. I would first listen to that voice and understand the voice may not be coming from a nurturing place. 160lbs at 5'4" stature is hardly obese. I would roll with it and play up your best features instead of focusing one what you don't have. Focus on what you do have and play it up.
