My boyfriend often looks at me and smiles at me, his eyes shining. That last a few seconds. What does that mean ?

This seems like basic body language 101.

I am not sure why it's a question - does it confuse you when he does this? Does it make you uncomfortable? What do you do back?

When someone I like looks at me and smiles at me it makes me feel good. I interact with them the same way back. Eye contact, smile etc.
