Why he ask me do I love him while I was drunk ?

I was a little drunk when I come at my boyfriend place. During sex he asks me do you love me. I was suprised and I said yes, he asks me, sure ? I said yes confused. I didn't understand what does that mean. After sex he was a little mad at me because I was drinking alcohol. After that he didn't say anything in the car. He was mad at me. I don' understand why. Can someone explain this situation ?
