With my immediate family I'm used to sharing everything and have also been sharing my dating struggles with a childhood friend who is also struggling with dating. Now that I've actually had a date that went well I'm not sure how much to share. Should I say whether we kissed or not or what I like or don't like about her personality and looks? Usually we share horror stories or if we find a match that we've started talking to we'll show each other the profile and give feedback. With both my best friend and immediate family I feel a little awkward talking about my attempts at physical contact or trying to flirt. What about with friends who I'm not extremely close with but are still friends and I spend a lot of time with. A lot of them are married, but still act like high school kids asking me questions. I'm almost thinking it was a mistake telling them I couldn't hang out since I was going on a date.

Is sharing too much disrespectful to the woman?

Don't discuss your sex life with others.  Do share what went well & that you are happy but also don't rub your nose in the fact that your buddy is still struggling.   You can say something like "I kissed her goodnight" or "she spent the night" but more details would be crass.

Share only as much as you're comfortable with. There isn't any need to reveal everything that happened during your date because not everything is someone else's business.

I just tell them i'm dating someone and that is all.  If we hit the 5 or 6 month mark then I will introduce them to family.  But up until meeting my family she'll have to be happy with meeting my friends.  I rarely get to the 5 or 6 month mark so it's really not an issue
