calworld Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 SHE BROKE MY NC She send a IM to me say hi. I say hi back. I ask for my key back. She said she gave it back to me already. (I can't remember she gave it back to me, but what's the point of arguing with my ex) So I said nevermind. I ask how are you? She said okay. I said I am going to bed. Bye. CRAP...just broke my NC after a month. O wells
Art_Critic Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 So now you know.. Hurts don't it ? What was the point of even asking for the key ? What other excuse are you going to come up with to break NC ?
johan Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I don't see anything wrong with anything you said. You didn't try to keep her chatting. You were polite, you were civil. I think you did fine. She broke the NC, not you. It would have been weird if you hadn't responded to her at all.
dr strangelove Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 Classic scenario... I think your ex still might have your key. But I wouldnt mention it again. If you think you might want a second chance, then its ok to talk to her when she messages you. By asking about the key then she will think thats all you want. You would also have to talk to her for longer then barely a paragraph.

What other excuse are you going to come up with to break NC ? Actually doesn't hurt me at all..I guess I am over with her The point being I can't change the lock without paying $100. This ain't my property. I am not going to pay for something that my ex caused. I have paid enough.

Ignoring her might give her another time to msg me because she thought I was away. I would rather end it now than later.
freckles3131 Posted October 3, 2005 Posted October 3, 2005 I agree...you kept it short and polite....now get back on the wagon..stop beating yourself up....she contacted you.....you are still okay.
