Obviously a movie is not an idea 1st date, but I thought it would be a fun 3rd date since I like watching movies anyway and it puts us in a different environment than a restaurant and there are things to see outside of the theater.

Any suggestions about flirting or how to behave during it? Is picking her up ok? I offered on the 2nd date and she declined.

Aside from trying to relax I'd really like to be able to create a flirty vibe.

Any tips would be appreciated

Hold her hand.

take her to a scary movie. studies show that dating couples that see a scary movie together tend to bond due to the chemicals released into the brain (adrenalin and dopamine?). better bring some rubbers with you max

She won't be insulted if I pick more of a guy's movie that's scary? Looks like the movies available are:

Terminator, Maleficent, Ford vs Ferrari, Midway, Charlie's Angels, or Last Christmas.

Out of those I think I'd enjoy Terminator, Maleficent, Ford vs Ferrari or Midway. Not sure what to suggest for purposes of a date. Charlie's Angels or Last Christmas seem like they're geared towards women, but would that better for a date even though they're not something I'd normally see?

So holding her hand during the movie is ok? How about putting my arm around her?

Try and find out what kind of movies she likes and adjust accordingly.

most women are thoroughly bored with men's movies, just as most men hate chick flicks.

if you want to get some nookie down the road (nudge, wink) you better take her to a chick flick. you can take her to a guy's movie later on down the road.

I wouldn't recommend holding hands, put you arm around her instead...

How about the Joker? Or, have you already watched it? It's received rave reviews from men and women alike!

As long as a movie is not too gory like Human centipede or a heart-wringing tear-jerker that includes mutilated bodies in war zones, most women wouldn't be put off by your choice of movie. Why don't you give her a choice (a little variety) and see what she picks? Alternatively, if she's already told you she's an action/romance/thriller fan, you can get clever and surprise her.

Personally, I'd be happy with all of the choices above. Then again, I am an action fan! :D

I wouldn't recommend The Joker or an action movie for date #3. Try for something more middle of the road

Rocky Horror if you can find it near you :)

I'm heading for Joker tomorrow.

I thought it was a more 'intense' movie though... dealing with the man-behind-the- Joker-mask. No? I could be wrong though...

Sorry for the threadjack! Keep us updated... :)

It can be very uncomfortable in a movie seat to have someone's arm around you. I mean physically uncomfortable. I'd stick to hand holding.

I don't watch chick flicks (save action movies). I don't know what most of those are. Charlie's Angels should be a crowd pleaser. The last movie was a comedy-action movie. The show was a mystery-action show. It should be a lot of fun.

I liked the other Maleficent movie, so I imagine it is OK. Terminator is a crowd pleaser for me and most of my friends (women included).

Ask her what she likes instead of assuming.

If you tried to take me to Last Christmas or The Notebook I'd politely decline.
