I am a man and 25 years old and here's my bio on Coffee Meets Bagel

I am:

Italian cook in the kitchen and big spoon in the bedroom. Tall enough to kill spiders. Thirsty for knowledge with an active and healthy lifestyle. Theatre enthusiast, cat person and lover of gelato with a sprinkle of balsamic vinegar.

I like:

Experiencing food, good wine and the feelings they evoke - Osteria Francescana you’re on my list. Making Italian food like carbonara and tiramisù. Running 5Ks, reading, watching YouTube videos, strolling around parks with cute animals, stargazing, live music and traveling.

I appreciate when my date:

Is a good communicator, likes to try new activities together, has a healthy lifestyle (doesn’t smoke/do drugs) and is looking for a genuine connection.

It seems OK but the reference to being a big spoon in the bedroom gives the impression that you only want sex not a relationship.

Welcome to LS. How has dating been going for you? Is this new bio a refinement or a complete fresh start? What has response been from potential dating partners in the past? Are you hetero or homo? The profile appears ambiguous on that part.

I am hetero. What parts make it look ambiguous?

Women don't want references to your dick. It's not their first priority. Leave that out and don't send photos. The rest is cute.

Are you talking about the "big spoon in the bedroom" part?

No mention of 'she' and ...

Theatre enthusiast, cat person and lover of gelato with a sprinkle of balsamic vinegar.

Plus the general focus on aspects that could swing either way. Of course, on a dating site you'd be listing in man seeking woman but here there was no such opener.

Yes. I realize it's a double entendre, but it would be hard to read it any other way.

The bedroom thing...trying to hard (pardon the pun) Keep the bedroom stuff a mystery.

I'll be honest I don't really see this getting you much of any. You better be attractive in your pics.

Ya a little on the cheezie side. But at least the info is all there.

are you trying to attract men or women?

You're trying too hard to be "unique" and it comes off pretty much like an OTT version of "I love long walks on the beach" except with different stuff.

I'm just another guy on the Internet, but I don't get any idea about you as a real person from reading this. From one foodie to another, I don't feel your passion about cuisine. Sounds a bit forced.

The "you're on my list" phrase is a bit off the wall as well. You're the one trying to attract women, so it's not the time to turn the tables and make it about how she might be lucky enough to land you if ... "Osteria Francescana"?

You need more things about yourself that another person can really connect and relate with. The "I like it with my date" part seems sincere. It's basic, but doesn't seem like you're reaching.

I think it's fine. It does come across a bit metrosexual to me, but plenty of women like metrosexual men. I agree it's poor form to reference the bedroom on your profile. You don't want to give the impression you're just another one of those guys.

Jake, you've gotten some good feedback and I especially agree with NuevoYorko's post.

I’d stay away from the bedroom gymnastics talk, and any talk of sex or your “mad skillz”for that matter.
