This is kinda a grumble post.....

Gah! I all but hate a colleague at the moment. Ugh. I'm not going to go into details but ughhhh. And it's more of a deal now because of something that won't go back to normal for some weeks. Ugh.

Maybe I'll count the weeks down here.

Anyway, should anyone else have colleagues that they dislike, feel free to share your stories here.

Classic avatar Meadowflower,

you deserve and I hope you find many friends,

this thing about the colleagues, I suppose this is quite normal with any workplace, colleagues who will frustrate a person,

I dont know, my work at the moment -teaching- one or two colleagues are definitely more popular with the learners than I am-

other years I gelled better with the group, this year I am feeling a lack of rapport with the classes, but I am finding it hard to get motivated to try to win them over,

do the job, get out of there and get paid is my only focus.

there there meadowflower, everything will be ok

Thanks @Foxhall and @alphamale

Yea, do the job and then go home. I have five full weeks until it's back to normal at work. However the person will still be there. But at least it will be better.

My job is not my life. ?

I’m going through that myself. It’s too much if I go into details but I will post the thread so everyone can read it. I hate this co-worker named Helen and she’s always working when I’m working. I just ignore her but if it’s work related then I answer.

We always have one or more colleagues that we dislike but as long as you don’t spread rumours or cause anything drama then everything should be fine (: do your work, get paid and that’s it (:

So sorry, too, MeadowFlower! It's happened to most of us but at least the person will be gone at some point!

Thanks @Tagalz and @LivingWaterPlease ?

She isn't going to be leaving. But when the other worker gets back, then the person I dislike will drop one day. Also it's just better when the other worker is there as well. And the work is easier too. Four more weeks. 4, 3, 2, 1...

Work to live; don't live to work. During this hellacious time, do as few hours as possible and take time to do things for yourself: movie, spa, day trip, new puppy.

@preraph, yea that's good "Work to live; don't live to work."

I don't like working, even without her. I have three plus weeks left until I go on a holiday.

Ugh another week of work has started. It's not even about the colleague. I don't like working.

Wouldn't it be so nice if she left. It's not likely though.

I'm counting the minutes too, before I go on holiday. My current gripe is about a co-worker who looks to me as an emotional tampon (sorry for the graphic) - and it's a guy!! I can't discern whether my frustration is due to him inappropriately assuming too much intimacy between us - or if he's just being a BIG BABY - or if it's due to my own disdain for guys who are emotional bottomless pits. My team is going through some changes, and he is making it worse for me. I'm trying to cope with a stiff upper lip, and he just keeps trying to drag me down into his PIT of emotions and speculations. AAAGGGHHH. We're not that close! Why does he assume that I care / am available to sit there and listen to his vents???

You know what I found out.. She is keeping her extra day, for the time being anyway.

@OpenBook when do you go on holiday?

Ughhhhhh. Back to work today, after my holiday. Imagine having a job that I was happy to get out of bed for and go to. I don't know if that person will be there or not..
