It sounds like youre just kind of pissi with the world, and perhaps youre already giving off an angry vibe, therefore giving off an angry vibe to others, hence the angry looks at you. Why dont you try smiling yourself? It takes less muscles to smile than not, and its better for your health, mental and physical.

logan_michelle Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 if you don't feel like you should smile then don't. but the "other people" that you talk about feel like they should give the angry sigh and the bad looks so they will. it's all about choice. you choose to be the unobvious and not smile back and they are choosing to react to it. sorry! this is said all to often but i believe in it firmly: live life to the fullest you only have one life to live. if you want to live your life as the person that never smiles your going to be dubbed as just that. unhappy also. if you want that, go for it (again, it's your choice) but remember everyone has their choices too. think about when your 80 years old... would you want to look back at your life and say "why did i do that my whole life?" oh yea and ps. you never know when you might lose the job you have. one of the people that you shrugged off might be your next boss. if he gave the angry sigh and bad look he will probley remember you and not hire you. (i know what your thinking: "i wouldn't want to work for him anyway!", but do you think you would remember him: he's just one more person that smiled at you. do you remember them all?) think.

Noone knows what goes on behind closed doors and these people probably are so caught up in their own stuff they haven't noticed you. Try a smile, be happy. Positive energy is contagious! Stay negative, then you think and feel awful things - Which 9 times out of 10 is unrealistic and not true. With that in mind, try your best to smile. Love the little things that count! There is so much to be happy about in life though the World can be tough and a s***ty place sometimes ya gotta stay strong and work through whatever it is you're going through.
lynnered Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 are U staring or glancing at the person? if im walking and someone is looking at me i will smile &maybe nod how are U. and especially in the workplace its nessasary to be polite to those around U,maybe others see U look sad or mad &are trying to make U smile:D
