Am wondering if I am reading too much into this and so looking for thoughts.

A guy I am getting to know, who is involved with another woman but their relationship seems more fwb than anything as it's almost indifferent, through others has a habit of maintaining longer than normal eye contact when talking. He's not trying to be intimidating in my mind, or rude, as he's quite causal in body language. Our entire repore is a causal respect, when he's not being a bit cheeky and he helps on the few occasions I've asked him. I've also caught him staring on occasion, most noticeably after I changed my looks a bit in a way others referred to as cute/good/appealing and stopped to talk with some othe people.

So??

Do you change your looks to get his attention? There's not much info to go by but it does sound like you're reading too much into it. He's with someone else. Best to steer clear.

Hardly. I've too much self respect to change my appearance for other people and really too much self confidence to care about others options on my looks hence why I am the sort that'll go out shopping looking as if I rolled out of bed, hair amess & old bummer clothes.

And well aware he's with someone else. I'm not desperate. I have no intentions of encouraging why he's with someone else. But am curious as to his behavior.

With little info in the post, i honestly can't see any interest on his side. He sounds like a friendly and funny guy

I don't understand why you're trying to see past the "casual rapport" you have. That says it all already, I'd say.

You are reading too much into this. He has a GF. His level of eye contact may simply mean he's more confident then many people. He seems to enjoy your company but that is a far cry from being available & wanting to date you.

Not enough info. to go on. I can think of a couple of people I know with crazy good eye contact that makes you feel like they are seeing into your soul and I've never assumed they were interested in me romantically.

And yet you seem pretty interested in his opinion?

WorkingGal, best to be honest about your intentions. If you have feelings for him, be friendly, keep it casual within boundaries and see what develops. He obviously knows where to find you...
