What do you think? The majority consensus seems to believe that when I meet the right person I will want to commit to them in marriage.

That might be true in some cases. Yes many guys who are currently married used to say they would never get married.

However I also think some fit in the category where they are just truly not built for commitment. I am one of those guys. I don't care how wonderful a woman is and what she has to offer. I will not commit to her. It has nothing to do with meeting the right person.

How do I know I am built this way? Because I used to date a woman who was head over heels in love with me. She loved me so much she moved from Texas to Virginia to be in a relationship with me. The relationship lasted 3 years. She asked me to move in with her after 3 years. I told her no but that I am happy to leave it the way it is by going out twice a week for the rest of our lives.

Well she put her foot down and there was a rift in the relationship and 6 months later she packs her bags and moves back to Texas. I was heartbroken and sad for awhile but it was not enough to get me chasing her down to propose to her.

After that relationship I realized the right woman for me is one who does not want a commitment.
