Spent time with a girl for dinner and movie - not sure if it was a date?

So I recently asked this girl that I have known for a few months out to watch a movie and get some dinner via text, she said yes and the night went pretty well I think and I did pay for our dinner, but I am not even sure if it was a date. The conversation flowed okay I believe.

I never mentioned the word ‘date’ in my initial text and I was too afraid to bring it up during the ‘hangout’. We parted ways with a hug and did make plans to catch up again soon and now I’m not sure what to do next?

This was our first time spending time together just the two of us, our previous hangouts were with mutual friends.

Any advice? I do like her and don't want to make things awkward and screw this up.

Sounds like a date to me. Schedule another outing & try for some physical contact during this one . . . handholding, a hug, a chaste kiss goodnight, even on the cheek.

Tsk tsk, alpha. It can be a date without sex. Plus having sex doesn't automatically make it a date. Booty calls are not dates.

You didn't say the word "date," but did you present it as friends hanging out, which would suggest that it isn't a date?

I just wanted to know if they had "relations". It would have changed the advice I would have given

It sounds like one, how did she react to this evening?

Also, do you want to see her again? If so be sure to call/text within 48 hours so she knows you are interested in her that way. Otherwise it's just a friend thing.
