So sometimes the guy I'm talking with texts me How was your day and I'm thinking of you. I never know what to respond as we are not dating yet and we are going to meet soon. I find we do have a connection when we talk on the phone. What would you reply to that? I mean I think if I say thinking about you too will be a really too early on my part?

You could just say “aw thanks! My day is going very well, I did xyz” (and tell him about your day!) If you want to wait until you meet to make up your mind then just thank him for the sweet comment and answer his question. Dont think too much about it.

Would you reply thinking about you too? Can I reply like this?

Thats a hard call. He doesn't think its too early to tell you but guys are funny. They can put themselves out there but sometimes if you reciprocate too early or too much they get freaked out. I dont know why. Thats why I would feel him out first. Dont act like you arent into him but I mean how do you know if you like him if you havent met? You dont. So I would wait until you meet and then reciprocate.

Only if you were thinking of him too.

Personally, I'd go with boymommy's suggestion until you actually meet and see how things go. Better to hold back a little if you can. Once you meet and it goes well, then you can open up a bit more with texts that let him know he's been on your mind.

Good luck.

I wouldn't respond to it really because he's either lovebombing hoping to expediate the getting laid process or he doesn't know how to date and thinks this is it

I'd jokingly say something back like, You know, if you asked me out, you could stop thinking about me and actually meet me. People who want to play house over OLD just kill me.

Like I said he did ask me out and we are going to meet. We just been talking 2 weeks and he texts me everyday. So no I think you're coming off as very negative. I dont think that's the only thing on his mind.

Only if you actually were. I would just say thanks, and ad a small tidbit about your day. Keep it short, but respond if you actually are interested.

I had a woman I knew long ago that I was in brief contact with again tell me that she had been 'Thinking about me' and was caught off guard, but tell him 'Thanks' and ask him what he's been up to. Just make conversation with him. That's what I'd do now. And good luck with the meet up.

Yes I do make conversation with him , just I am caught off guard whenever he tells me he was thinking about me.

I think we all are because it's just something we don't really expect nor know how to respond to. But just keep going and see where it goes.

I'm with preraph on this. Reading your opening post, the thing that stood out is you have not even met yet and he is telling you he is thinking about you... which is... odd. So yea either he is very inexperienced when it comes to dating or he is hoping to get into your knickers as soon as he can.

Hey guys! Here's proof women don't like these kinds of texts.

It's not that I dont like this kind of text. I just feel like it's too early for it. But Men are different I guess.

Well, if he's already asked you out, then what's the hold up? Go out and find out what he is like in person.

I would reply with crickets
