my bros I just can't describe how happy I am now. In talking tonight she even said she thought about it and finally understood where I was coming from with my apprehension and everything and that it would never come up again because she has no intention of ever looking back.

So I may be posting to loveshack a little less because I don't need the advice (right now, but hell, I still like giving it) but just know I wish you all the best in your endeavors. I have gotten a lot of solid advice from this forum and I appreciate you all; likely what I've gotten from here in the past 2 years set me on the right track. Before I was a self conscious wreck who didn't assert myself, a passive naïve little B, but now I feel like the confidence I've asserted in past dates has really paid off.

If I have anything to leave with (but I ain't leaving), it would be to believe in yourself, improve yourself, focus on yourself, and good things will come to you as a result of you being a better person. You will attract and keep that which you are worthy of eventually.

Endure and appreciate the struggle while it happens as it will only make you stronger.

See you all in a month when this somehow blows up for me ;-)

Your title “competing” with an ex , made no sense to me.

And it seems like you weren’t actually trying to compete with him but become more like him? Example your reference to sex with her!?

Perhaps she succumbs to dominating men and becoming more like him endeared her to you more?

Don’t get me wrong , I think you are right to ask her to block her ex , but I’m unsure about the means you used to get her to? That’s if she even did?

You are still overlooking the fact that his contact upsets her and the fact that she didn’t block his contact despite that?

I’m unsure as to how recent her break up with him was and as to whether you are a rebound or not?

But your last comment about expecting it to blow up in a month is hardly encouraging or positive??

See you then!

When men get angry and cold, many women will go into submissive mode.

She kowtowed and tried to placate you by feeding you what you wanted to hear.

It worked!

You calmed down and she got off the hook...

She may indeed be turned on by your show of "dominance" or she may just file it under R for resentment to bring it out another day...

Time will tell.

I don't think she's over him, reading between the lines of the info you have provided.

Why not block him off Snapchat for a start?
