I was doing a Google search today as I was looking up when certain movies would be released in theaters in the coming weeks/months. For those of you who have not heard, they are doing a reboot of Splash with a gender switch : the Tom Hanks part will be played by a woman (Jillian Bell) and the Daryl Hannah part will be played by Channing Tatum as a merman. I laughed at that, I thought that was very clever actually. And I went onto YouTube because I had not seen any bit or piece of that movie in a very long time, and I came across this scene:

I'm not sure why or how, but this made me so happy to see. This made me believe in love again. Why? I don't know, life is complicated.

I just watched Splash for the first time last week. Everyone said it was great but I thought it was just OK. It was good to see a young Tom Hanks

I watched this movie for the first time in a long time, since it came out, a few months ago with my ex-bf because I love mermaids :)

It's not a high-quality film, but a fun concept and sweet story.

It resonated for us, as we're kinda from two different worlds, thwarted some obstacles to make things work... while they lasted.

Have you seen Somewhere In Time? Even the trailer gets me teary, romantic sap that I am!

Yes I have. I will have to give that a watch soon. I tear up at it as well. And Ever After.

Not a movie, but a song in a movie--De-lovely, which was about Cole Porter. There is a love song in there that is so hauntingly beautiful... look up "So In Love - De-lovely" on YouTube and you'll see what I mean. If you can, watch the movie--it drives this song straight into the center of your heart.
