He was hanging out clubbing and getting drunk with 20yo guys he met on holiday, not girls.

Between this thread and the one with the dude wanting to stalk the ER nurse, I'm completely creeped out as a the mother of an 18 year old girl who comes into contact with oodles of strangers at her full-time job.

I'm already freaking out for my best friend's daughter, who is just 12. She hasn't even grown boobs yet but is tall and beautiful and she started getting looks from old creepers when she was 11. Now she's suddenly in love with babies (because she had no younger siblings and has no idea what all it entails) and I am very worried about that at her age. Teens think babies are cute like puppies and just don't know the consequences. I hope her mother puts her on BC early, early. Otherwise, she will not ever get to follow her dreams of either getting into STEM or becoming a law-enforcement officer. In your case, this girl is at best shy and at worst, not at all receptive to your attention. Given the age difference, I think pursuing anything romantic or sexual is already a bit of a grey area. But the older person having to be the clear pursuer in the equation really makes it a non-starter in my eyes.

But you *don't* know anything about her. Again, it's fine to say hello but leave it at that. Pursue nothing more.
