I'd be interested to hear more privately.:D

But 10 years ago my stomping grounds was somewhere else. I've only been spending a lot of time in SL for maybe 5 years tops.

What about smaller college towns like Carbondale? I don't know your age but if you're under 30 checkout there or even some hot professors.

I just really hate my position in FL. Like another poster said many parts of FL are a dating desert. South of Tampa is mostly retired old folks on the west coast. My county isn't growing as fast but it's still growing and it's mostly people over 60 retiring here I see. I can go into any of the stores or public places and it's mostly older folks.

Another thing I hate about FL is a lot of the women are more chunky than up in Missouri from what I see. I don't know if it's because of the heat people don't want to be active most of the year outside or working out but it's depressing. Missouri like other upper south states is supposed to be one of the most obese states in the country, but the girls in St. Louis were better looking and more slim and healthy looking than what I see here. I'm 5-9 and 135 lbs and trim and fit. I don't want a land whale who weighs 200lbs covered in tats. that's another peeve of mine about FL. women, ones who otherwise would be very attractive cover themselves in tats, lots of them and that turns me off.

yea I hate tats, especially on girls

Here is an example of a message I sent a chick a few days ago. Is this too long?

Hi xxx. I'm xxx and I was just browsing on here tonight and came across your profile and I must say I'm really impressed by it!

So what made you pick xx? I myself am from St. Louis and moved back to FL 4 years ago for warmer weather. Well, I was born in St. Louis, moved to xxx when I was 8 and then back to Stl when I was 18 and now back down here for good!

I'm impressed by your education. Math and statistics! I could have used your help a couple years ago in grad school. Graduate level statistics were a killer! In my undergraduate studies and graduate level I literally passed everything with straight As and a few Bs until I hit stats. Really takes a talented person at that level of math to teach it and teach math in a way the students can learn it properly.

Really like the part about being healthy and compassionate as well in your requirements for a partner. Compassion is the number one trait I look for in a partner myself.

As for me, well I own a small retail business. When I was taking graduate level courses I considered teaching adjunct classes someday in business subjects because overall I like being in college (still miss it) but with the cost of a masters degree I decided to take my chances and go into a small business. So far it's working out okay and I hope to expand.

Anyway, I'd love to chat xxx and find out more about you! I think we potentially have a lot in common.

This kind of content should be saved for a date. Women are on there to be asked out not do lengthy chats.

I like PRW's approach...it's simple with a few questions about location and availability.

I agree with Inspire. Women do get over whelmed with long winded messages and multiple text messages. And guys wonder why women lose interest/ghost.....because someone else already jumped in there and asked them out.

Rarely rarely happens but i sent a message like that which was read but the chick didnt even check my profile out after reading it to see what I look like or see my location and and interest. Does that mean she was put off by the book I wrote to her lol that she had no interest at all?

I'm a few years from 60yo. Now of course it might be fun for me,...but not so much for them :D Plus it is way to far away. I am northeast of ST Louis. Carbondale is farther south than ST Louis.

Maybe in a couple years I can go there and pickup some hot widows, guys always die first. Maybe start an oxygen bottle supply service.

It is a mix of that now. I can barely find anyone without at least a few tats (but I hate any at all).

In my age range the chubbies are a bit high in the percentages,...and yea my preference for attractiveness says that it is pretty hard for them to be "too" skinny, so yea, it makes it hard for me. But I guess some of that is just preferences.

I don't know your occupation, but the west side (St Charles, Chesterfield, St Peters) is growing like crazy. Before long Six Flags will be considered "in town". Amazon just built a massive new warehouse there and it just opened. There is a massive MasterCard HQ there too. I've heard the area is becoming a Meca for IT and Tech jobs. Maybe you might want to get out of FL.

Okay, I didn't know you were that old. If that's the case, seriously you would love the west coast of FL Tampa on south. Lots of people your age and older, especially during snowbird season the region is covered with old farts. Makes driving aggravating though. Also, a lot of the transplants here are from New England so they're stuck up big time and can be rude.

I know that about St. Charles County. It's one of the fastest growing areas of the country. I own a business selling phone cases and accessories at a fleamarket kiosk. None up there so I'd have to go into a shopping mall which cost thousands a month in rent.:( Otherwise I'd consider it.

Springfield Missouri is another fast growing region in the sunbelt. Plus, it's a college town with tons of young chicks and professors. I love the Ozarks and it's a lot warmer in that part of Missouri and fits in with my right wing views too. The MO Ozarks, then ENTIRE southern half of MO has ONE lone democrat in the MO house and she represents the college part of town in Springfield. Otherwise it's heavily Trump country and the women would line up with my political views more in Missouri anyway.

LIke a couple months ago my mom and I went out to eat at Olive Garden (food was crappy) The waitress looked about 24 or so. Really good looking and my mom was trying to get into conversation with her since she was telling another customer she got her degree in sports management and interned at the Sabres and moves around a lot. She got us talking, BUT the turnoff was her arm was covered in tats including a couple of her fingers.:( perfect smile, face but was covered in tats. I just couldn't figure it out. How does one get a decent job looking like that? Was a turn off over an otherwise nice looking girl.

@bluesfan It was very long-winded. Slap a jacket cover on it and it might as well been a small autobiography. People in general have short attention spans. Anything beyond a small paragraph or two is too much.

But these broads, especially 30 and over have long novels written about themselves on their profiles though.

Their profile might have a lot of information, but that doesn't mean you should write an equally lengthy first message.
