I was talking to this guy for a couple of months. Though at first he seemed genuinely interested, he became more distant by middle of June. He wanted to become exclusive and even mentioned changing our relationship status but even though he said he would, he never did. And while facetiming, he wanted a picture of us. He wanted me to post it and tag him on facebook and said it will show up on his page but it never did. Things were just weird but I found out just a couple weeks ago that he blocked me from snapchat. But not facebook. I dont know why. I told him about alot of things that bothered me and he kept reassuring me that everything was fine. I told him im probably just overthinking and he agreed. He told me he cares alot about me but that i dont think he does. Anyway i just basically gave up trying to talk to himcanymore because i was tired if fighting trying to communicate with him. He told me he understood and that he didnt find anyone else. Yesterday i asked him if he hated me because hes been ignoring me. He says of course he doesnt. I told him i want us to get along atleadt if he doesnt mind and he said yes thats fine. Then i told him im glad and that i wish him the best of luck with everything but he didnt reply to that. Why dont men ever say goodbye? Thats what i pretty much said but no reply?

Forgive me in advance, but some people don't say goodbye because they're douchebags. His lack of communication should speak volumes. Easier said than done, but brush him off and move on. There's always someone better out there that doesn't want to play games.

People rarely actually say "goodbye" during a break-up, OP. It doesn't mean the relationship isn't over, but folks express themselves in different ways. Is there a reason you need to hear those words? Your final message to him didn't really warrant a reply, in my opinion. Or were you hoping he would tell you not to go and this isn't the end?

It sounds like this wasn't going anywhere, anyway. You say you were "talking" for a couple months - does this mean you were actually meeting and going on dates, or?

Well we had met once and then we were going to again on the 3rd but i called that one off since i wasnt feeling good. I didnt expect him to tell me to stay or that he would stay. I highly doubt he would anyway. I was honestly hoping he would atleadt say goodbye or just a "you too". Thats all i really wanted.

It doesn't make it right but it's just easier for some people to simply walk away rather than tell someone they don't feel it's going to work. It may feel like it now but in the long run, you didn't lose anything. If he were really interested, he'd maintained stronger contact than he did.

You were coming across as awfully needy and insecure which is understandable since his lack of interest in getting to know you in person would make anyone insecure that didn't just block and delete him.

Next time you have to work that hard to get someone to make you feel valued, dump their butt and do so gladly without a need to hear one more thing from them.

Why did you meet only once in two month of talking? (apart from being sick on the 3rd)

It doesn't make sense to have even thought about exclusivity or changing your social media status after only going out one time. Me thinks this guy was toying with you and entertaining other options.

Well, he texted me back asking me why I want him to keep talking? When 4 days ago he told me he cares alot about me? Why do i feel like calling him an a**hole?!

I'm having trouble following the timeline. Did he tell you that he cares about you before or after you broke up with him? And why would you want him to keep talking now?

He said he cares alot about me 3 or 4 days before he asked me why i want him to keep talking. He asked me that tonight.

OK, I'm guessing that he told you that he cares before you broke up. But now you've broken up with him, he doesn't want to be just your friend. Quite sensible on his part really.

He's got a point, though. Why would you want to keep talking to him when it's over? He isn't interested in actually dating you, it seems, much less being a chat buddy.

You need to forget this guy. In the future, don't waste your time with someone who can only manage to see you once in two months?

Why don't you just take the hint and block and delete him so that you can rehab from this waste of good dating time.

The way you have him locked up in your head is going to keep you from moving on to meet someone who DOES want to get to know you through steady dating... unlike this guy who is indifferent to you. Quit taking his words at face value when his actions do not match. Words are just words until you see actions to back them up as the truth.
