Hey,

I just met a girl a week ago, the day before I started my vacation.

She gave me her number and I texted her later that day. Normally I would’ve already settled a date but I will be on vacation for two more weeks.

I tried to playfully flirt with her via text (although I don’t like doing this on the phone) and she always responds very quickly. I don’t text that much during vacation so I often respond after 1-2 days. What should I do to keep her interested and bridge the time during my vacation till a real date? I think texting for 3 weeks would lead to a friendship most likely. Should I already settle a Dateien advance (2-3weeks)? Should I keep texting or what should I do?

Thank yall

Luis

You just met her. You are not boyfriend/girlfriend yet. Neither owes anyone anything. All that texting will just drive her away. It doesn't matter if you are on vacation,...set a date,...a specific date that will be after you get back. That will give her something to look forward to.

As far as texting yourself, maybe once or twice each week while you are away. That is all (you are not her boyfriend yet, you have a life). If she texts you then try to response in a respectful amount of time and always be happy to hear from her. Just don't spend an excessive amount of time when you are doing it. You don't want her to get bored with you because she knows "everything there is to know about you" before you even get back from vacation. You need to reserve a little mystery for her to discover along the way as she gets to know you. So don't dump everything about yourself onto her all at once and leave nothing else to talk about for the future.

Thanks for your quick response man!

What you said definetely makes sense to me.

I’m actually not a person Who texts that long. I just respond whenever I have the time and want to which may often take a day. So also in this case, we rather have a conversation which goes on for days instead of many single conversations where both of us are online and chat until one of us has to run.

I will set a date and maybe stop the convo afterwards in a natural way as you said.
