I was out with my girlfriend on Saturday night seeing a band we know and a friend of mine bought me a drink. We were talking with him and she kept reiterating to him that she knew him from somewhere, but neither could place where. I don't believe she ever asked him his name and I don't recall telling her his name, but is that a flirtatious move by her? Isn't that normally a pick-up line? At one point he said to her 'we've never dated' and she chuckled. Let me add that she's been great so far. Tells me how cute I am and she's very into me. We have awesome conversations and our dates are great. It just struck me as odd that she would say that to him.

Let me put it this way, if a bf said to a girlfriend's friend that he knew her somewhere, would the gf take that as him flirting?

No. I'd take that as him asking a question because she had one of those faces.

I suppose. The only reason why I asked is because normally people use that line when they're interested.

LOL. I've never used that line, but I know people do use that as a pick up line. I don't use pick up lines. LOL

Maybe she saw him on a dating app before you two started dating or knows through a group of friends or acquaintances. It's totally possible. It also means nothing. You should let it go.

You're making an issue out of nothing, OP.

But didn't you meet this woman a couple weeks ago? And she's your girlfriend already?

Female here. If a guy said "I know you from somewhere" I'd assume he was trying to figure out why my face is familiar. I'd probably start working discussing where we grew up, schools, hobbies, workplaces to try and figure it out.

Logical fallacy.

Just because people who are interested use that line, doesn't mean everyone who uses that line is interested.

Yes, a month ago . Last time was our third date. It was a faux paux. I was going to go back and change it, but it wouldn't let me.
