Did I ask for her # too soon or wrong?

Today I logged in to Match and noticed a beautiful woman I'd never seen before. Her pictures were all amazing and looked like they were taken professionally. I sent her a message about one of her interests and she responded back like 5 minutes later. We sent a few messages back and forth and I found out she lives in another state right now, but will be moving back where I live at the end of the year and will be leaving where I live on Wednesday.

Thinking either she or I may not even be on match by the end of the year I asked for her number so that when she comes back we can meet up.

After that I logged in and saw her picture gone and a message saying "This profile is unavailable and may not respond."

My other thought it maybe her pictures were so good and it was a bit suspicious maybe it was a fake account and it was taken down. Regardless, going forward should I handle a situation like differently?

I think, like 4/5 dentists... 9/10 OLD matches will not move past the initial few messages to an actual meeting so I wouldn’t worry about it... I don’t think you did anything wrong.

I’ve done this myself. I have dabbled in OLD and then when I talked with a man, it scared the life out of me so I took my profile down. You have no idea if she is anxious, or if someone else responded inappropriately and it scared her, or if an old boyfriend came back on the scene, or if she’s decided it was too soon to date, or if she just decided it wasn’t for for her... don’t take it personally.

Fake account...if it looks too good to be true, then it is. Find a different dating site.

Match.com has a lot of "operatives" that do the dirty work of the company. I get these too. Be careful, if its too good to be true it probably is...

Thanks! I feel better that I didn't mess this one up. It seems like I'm lucky to get a response from someone I'm interested in and I hate to blow it by asking for her number incorrectly. It just seems like there are people I can chat with forever, but once I try to meet up they just disappear.
