Pretty much nothing . Just a lame, hope you got home safely message several hours after i left --- (i live five minutes away) --- so meanwhile, i could have been tied up in someones basement for all he cared;-). He left for a business trip the next morning that will be a month long, so i think we'll die a natural death in his absence. If he tries to ask me out again, i'll definitely tell him I think we're not a good match.. Thanks again guys, the insight in this thread is brilliant. 1

To add, when a guy lays it's on so thick, he's usually compensating for something. (i don't necessarily think it's dishonesty, though that can be the case). But yeah usually compensating for the fact that is has a hard time being compatible with someone, anxiety issues, physical issues, personality issues that don't make them easy to date & they are aware that makes the pool of candidates for them to date smaller thus they try to lock you down by laying it on thick since that is what it is believed will win a lot of women over. 1
