Nothing easy about it. I’ve had nothing but negative experiences with dating since I got dumped two weeks before Xmas. Time to hang it up.

wowwww that's THE most horrifying thing I have ever heard *rolling my eyes off*

Yeah I advise you to stay away from dating and finding love if your heart shatters this easily

Her: I’m still in [visiting town about 80 miles away] currently but I’ll keep you posted. What time would work best for you?

Me: Gotcha, whatever time’s best for you :) I was thinkin afternoon or evening

Her: Yes I think evening would be best

Kill the bolded dude.

Pick a night or evening that really works for you and propose it. Otherwise, you're signaling that you don't really have a life, and will fit your life around hers (very bad signal to send) ... and you're undermining your own confidence by announcing that you will meet WHENEVER she wants to me.

Give her a specific date and time that fits your schedule. Then if she can't do that, propose another date and time.

Your answers were so wishy-washy ... in response to her evasiveness--I can't tell whether she said yes or no to going out ... She simply changed the subject by asking you what time is best.

So let's replay this.

Her: I’m still in [visiting town about 80 miles away] currently but I’ll keep you posted. What time would work best for you?

Me: Tomorrow evening works for me. Want to do X?

Her: I’m still in [visiting town about 80 miles away] currently but I’ll keep you posted. What time would work best for you?

Me: So you can or can't do tomorrow? I can do tomorrow after 6.

Put your preference out there, the ideal time for YOU to go out. Forget about her for now. Then let her say yes/no ... Then if she proposes a different time, think about whether that fits your schedule. Propose a different time if her reply doesn't work for you.

Keep in mind--if things are gonna work--both people have to really make it work ...

Mate, your 'negative experiences' involve finding many ONS but not wanting any of them as a partner. I'm sure those who are chronically unable to meet anyone would happily trade places with you.

It seems to me that you're a 'glass half empty' person. If you view life through a half empty glass, you will always be disappointed with the results.

Set a definite date. text her this "Hey how about xxxxxx at 7pm on xxxxxx"

Then you'll know if you were ghosted or not

You think that a bunch of one and done sexual encounters is fulfilling? Trust me, it’s not, especially after you’ve been in a real relationship. I’d trade all the one nighters if it meant being in a fulfilling relationship again, but finding that is just hopeless. That’s why I’m giving up.

Yep, you're still taking the negative line.

My point is that you've got what it takes to meet someone, so it's not as if you're inept at talking with people or really unattractive. What if you change your criteria for women a bit? What are you looking for and how flexible are you?

Who would want a long term relationship with a negative and pessimistic person? He probably often thinks it's the woman's fault also. He is doing it right now. Imagine always being blamed in a relationship..

Honestly I'm not surprised they eventually all run away.

I hear you frus69 - just trying to see if he can bring himself out of this mindset.
