I do need to loose about 40lbs more, I've lost 60lbs so far. I'm built like a linebacker, even this girl I met said she doesn't think of me as fat, just huge. She even said I should've played football. as far as self-confidence goes, yeah, my ex killed it all 7 years ago, but it's comming back. Despite getting turned down with this girl, I'm more confident than when I started, and I girl at work tried to hit on me recently, so I must be heading in the right direction. Thanks RP, you've given me a lot of good advise over my many threads.

Your confidence should come from the inside, not from the outside. It came to me with age, not with looks. Think of it as a practice to boost your confidence, for the future girl who will make you her #1...sometimes guys too have to kiss a lot of frogs before they meet the right one...

I ask myself questions like, "Which one of these men...blah blah blah" and the man who I feel has the answer to that question, I'll pick.

I agree with the others, forget about the "friends" thing, it will only make it more difficult for you because you see her as more, plus her "you're my #1 backup" is a slap in the face. Who does she think she is? I hope you're dating someone else by the time her relationship ends. This is a very educational thread for those not sure if a girl you like is interested: ***If she ever mentions another guy she likes, move on. Ypu don't have a chance at that point.***
