mopar crazy Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 I can't really think of any, especially pre 1975, but the one I remember is Away from Me by Puddle of Mudd
bigbuffs Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Not sure if I can think of many pre '75 but, the oldest one I could think of would be maybe Run Around Sue by Dion. (1961 I think) I know a lot of newer stuff. Dashboard Confessional sings a lot about it. Dashboard Confessional-Screaming Infidelities Warrant-I Saw Red Usher-Confessions Matchbox 29-Bed Of Lies Justin Timberlake-Cry Me A River Ingram Hill-Waste It All On You
GuySimple Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 "These boots were made for walkin, and that's just what they'll do. One of these days these boots are gona walk all over you...dum dum dum dum" Nancy Sinatra
reservoirdog1 Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 Led Zeppelin: Your Time is Gonna Come, Hey Hey What Can I Do (pre-1975) These are all post-75: Bon Jovi: You Give Love a Bad Name U2: So Cruel And, an immortal Canuck favourite: Leonard Cohen's "Everybody Knows": Everybody knows that you love me, baby Everybody knows that you really do Everybody knows you've been faithful Ah, give or take a night or two Everybody knows you've been discreet But there were so many people you just had to meet Without your clothes And everybody knows.
Ladyjane14 Posted September 24, 2005 Posted September 24, 2005 You'll find the BEST cheatin' songs in Country Music. From old standards like "Your Cheatin' Heart" by Hank Williams, and "You Ain't Woman Enough to Take My Man" and "Fist City" by Loretta Lynn to modern day songs like Gretchen Wilson's "When I Think About Cheatin'" and "Homewrecker". In Country....the cheatin' song is an entire genre! Loretta Lynn is THE BEST. She a living legend. She sang and wrote alot from her own life experiences. And she knew this subject. But Loretta doesn't back down. She gets in there and fights. Here's' Fist City: A you've been makin' your brags around town That you've been a lovin' my man But the man I love, when he picks up trash He puts it in a garbage can And that's what you look like to me And what I see's a pity Close your face and stay outta my way If ya don't wanna go to fist city If ya don't wanna go to fist city Ya better detour around my town 'Cause I'll grab you by the hair a the head And I'll lift a you off a the ground I'm not a sayin' my baby's a saint 'cause he ain't N' that he won't cat around with a kitty I'm here to tell ya gal to lay offa my man If ya don't wanna go to fist city Come on and tell me what you told my friends If you think you're brave enough And I'll show you what a real woman is Since you think you're hot stuff You'll bite off more than you can chew If you get too cute or witty You better move your feet If you don't wanna eat A meal that's called fist city If you don't wanna go to fist city You better detour around my town 'Cause I'll grab you by the hair a the head And I'll lift you offa the ground I'm not a sayin' my baby's a saint 'cause he ain't N' that he won't cat around with a kitty I'm here to tell ya gal to lay offa my man If ya don't wanna go to fist city I'm here to tell ya gal to lay offa my man If ya don't wanna go to fist city
