Hey Im new...In more ways than one ;) back dating agian after 6 years WHEW! Its rough!

I was set up last saturday by a girlfriend. Met her and her friend at a bar and hung out for hours. He was very attentive: made sure I was ok drink wise. Kept touching me or putting his arm around me. Arranged things so that I would have to drop him at his apartment etc. When I got to his apt he invited me up and we sat and chatted casually for about 45 min. He was exhausted and obviously so...(he had worked a long shift that day) I said 'you look soooo tired, Im having a great time but Im going to let you get some sleep"

He walked me to my car...made an effort to take my phone number and asked if we could go out again. I said yes, and he we hugged and he kissed my cheek. I may have unintentionally ducked when he went in for an actuall kiss...It was all a bit clumsey.....

SOOOO the friend that set us up said he has been talking about me all week (saying how great it was etc). But its Thursday nite and no call.

Time to give up?

Doing my best impression of "cool and dont care" right now but obviously since Im asking I CARE!! lol

Hmmm. He could be keen, but trying to play it ultracool. Or he could have tried to contact you sometime when you were out (we know that if we leave an answerphone message that 90% of the time you won't ring us back).

Or he could be playing games. Some guys do, sadly.

Happy friday all! I tried to edit this post but dont seem to be able too.....maybe my brain has already left for the weekend

SO, the hot guy called !! YES! Left a lovely message this morning on my cell around 10:30 explaining his college buddy is in town all week untill sunday (which my friend had told me as well) He asked if Id like to have dinner on Tuesday.....HECK YA

So the stupid part of this story is that I promptly erased the message with HIS PHONE NUMBER IN IT!!!!! He had called from work and I dont want to call him there.... So now I have to either show up at his work (its retail) and tell him how lame I am, OR ask my girlfriend if she has his number, OR call him at work ........

*sigh* I thought I was old enough to not be this lame anymore.....

I would ask the friend for his number. Hope it works out for you!

Hey Tankgirl... I'm in the same boat, thrown back into the dating game and I have a sneaking suspicion that the rules have changed.

About the "ultracool" thing. Don't play too cool, because he might be playing the same game and you don't want things to cool off before they have a chance to heat up.
