New girl is pretty but insecure. Should I move on?

If you'e already finding her insecurities "annoying" then I would suggest that you move on. I, personally, would call it a day as I don't want to be with someone who has serious insecurities. I feel compassion for them as I know it's a struggle but that doesn't mean that I want to date them.

It also works the other way. People who are attractive or beautiful often get overlooked for their talents or personality. The world assumes that beauty should be a central focus when you have it instead of, oh I don't know, becoming a doctor to make a difference in the world.

 

Thank you for this! I’ve found that a lot of people don’t realize that beautiful people are often treated with extreme prejudice. Sometimes, the prejudice is in our favor, while other times it isn’t. But, we go through life experiencing prejudice on a daily basis nonetheless. Most of us are far more aware that looks aren’t everything, than we are given credit for.
