My ex boyfriend and I had an awful relationship. He was an addiction to cocaine and alcohol, along with that came with a lot of rage towards me physically verbally emotionally and cheating on his part. Eventually he left me for another girl. I blocked him off everything since then. A year later He has tried to contact me through his friends, he will message me on his friends Facebook messenger. The first time he contacted me through one of his friends I had no clue that it could be actually him talking to me, I assumed it was his friend although I did find it odd that he was “catching up” with me because we never talked like that. I actually ended up blocking his friend just incase. Now he messaged me again through a different friend telling me to call him ASAP that he was in my town and that he wanted to have a talk- this time he told me it was him. I never replied and don’t plan to.

Why do men do this??? I remember while we were together we got into a huge fight because he had contacted his ex and wanted to meet up with her too “to talk”. I assumed he wasn’t over her and it taunt me the whole rest of the relationship, now he’s doing it to me! Why can’t men leave their exes alone???

That's scary not being able to get rid of him. However, it's not a man thing - either gender can be stalkery. I have no idea why people won't let go.

Unfriend everybody who your ex could use to contact you.

I'm not friends with any of his people on Facebook or in real life. I don't even have Facebook activated I deactivated it a long time ago, I just have messenger activated.

So these are people approaching you randomly on messenger?

Deactivate messenger then. It shouldn't be too important to you if you don't have fb. Keep your loveones on text.

Yeah, take all measures to block him and his friends. They should understand. He's just one of those messed up guys who can't take no for an answer. They can be dangerous, too, so you have to be firm and take precautions. So given his history of doing this to other women (which is nearly always the case -- women should never feel special when someone stalks them like this) it will take him getting involved with another woman to refocus on her and for you to get rid of him. So if you know any women you hate, sent them his way!

You couldn't be more right! Although he's been blocked after we broke up and never talked again he only started going out of his way to message me after he and his girlfriend ( the one he left me for) broke up. He talks to all of his exes by the way, they are cool with him and still talk. I don't ever talk to exes again.
