Slept with a bride to be at Bachelorette Party

Recommended Posts

I could never look at myself in the mirror if I slept with a taken woman. If people are looking at that night as their last moment of freedom then maybe marriage is not for them. They are looking at technicalities instead of the principle. I bet they are the type to flip their lid if they found out the groom had a stripper at his party.

I have attended bachelorette parties in which members of the group/bridal party hooked up with men they met on the night out. And one in which the bride herself did so (she confessed this long after the fact, after the ink had dried on her divorce decree)

I also happened to be friends with a guy years back, who worked as a stripper for extra cash. He told me he loved and hated bachelorette parties who came into the club - loved because they tended to spend a lot of money, hated because if the bride did something she shouldn't have in the private booths, she often then proceeded to freak out over the guilt. He didn't specify exactly what went on, but said it was sometimes much more than a lap dance.

Is it common? We likely wouldn't know if it is, really. Most brides would probably not reveal this, and the men in question are probably random dudes who don't even know their last names, never to be seen or heard from again. I would hope it's not common, for obvious reasons, but I know it happens.

At one of my friend’s bachelorette party we went and saw male dancers. After the show and were walking out some of those guys were inviting us into the room which looked like a backstage dressing room.

We were all like “ew”, kept on walking and went out dancing by ourselves someplace else instead.

Maybe some women would be into that but I don’t think it’s a lot. But I’ve also gone clubbing with the girls from work and all of them had random hook ups those nights every time so who knows? That was never my thing but may be someone else’s which it clearly was for them and again I was like “ew”.

I don't go to those parties either. And ya I would go ew too to male strippers. I worked ladies night for 4 years, I know what goes on. Waitresses smashing in a bathroom stall with them...some people are just gross. But like I said, whatever floats your boat. The $%^& is still going to happen.

I was going to say nope, it's not common at all.

My bachelorette consisted in a 3-night luxury spa hotel stay with my 3 closest friends, complete with massages, jacuzzi, good food and nice cocktails - and no male strippers in sight.

Apparently, I haven't lived...

My bachelorette party consisted of a group of us going out clubbing wearing R rated party favors. I kept my pants on all night.

I feel sorry for the groom to be

Doesn’t speak very well for your character either, or lack of

Some people think this "last hurrah" is a rite of passage.

I don't think I've ever seen a woman wearing pants at a bachelorette party. I've seen the R-rated party favors though.

I've described to many people over the years what I call "feral humans". This is the sort of thing I would expect of them.

I think some people take great pleasure out of targeting other people's bfs/gfs/wives/husbands/partners and they are never happiest when they have succeeded in prising someone away from a relationship, even if it is just for a ONS or a quickie...

They revel in illicit sex and have a ghoulish sense of satisfaction over getting "one up" on the official partner...

Good point elaine, there definitely is true evil out there, and people with at least a genuinely evil streak.

Just more reasons to really screen people before committing, especially marriage. You can't turn a h** into a housewife. :p

I think it depends on the bride or groom and I'd a good indicator of cheating behaviour during the marriage. More telling are the ones who can face their new spouse and say their vote without flinching. It's almost as if the hen/stag do is some mythical place where no consequences shall ever occur.

True story, I have a friend whose brother met his wife on his stag do. As you can imagine his fiancee of several years was not amused!

All the while, the groom to be has NO IDEA what he is getting involved

with. I feel bad for HIM as well.

Why do people even get married if this is where their head is at? Gawd! Just stay single, people! I can't think of anything less logical than cheating on your bride or groom to be! These idiots shouldn't be getting married!

Seriously! It makes you question why they are even getting married.

Some men view it as an alpha move which is pathetic.
I'd bet for most that the motivation is simply the easily acquired sex more so than the accomplishment of "stealing" someone. In the various bachelorette party hookups I participated in, the women were "aggressive" and did not play hard to get.

OP - it was very freeing when I realized I didn't have to sleep with every woman just because she would/I could - no matter what she looked like. Have some self control, pride, and morals in yourself and don't sleep with engaged women - or any others with low morals and drama. Just say no. Sorry, but there is no pride or bragging rights there - at all.

That said, my guess is there are just as many women that do this as men. I think the stereotypes of men as always being the primary cheaters is 'old thinking'. These days neither sex has a monopoly on cheaters and liars. You can safely bet a bride that would do that won't be a very good wife, girl friend, or loyal to anyone or anything. She is trash in my mind and I can't imagine why you would want to sleep with her under any circumstances.

This may be a bit off topic but I've had experiences that suggest that is true. The focus on primarily men is a bit misplaced. There seem to be plenty of married women with kids out there who react way too strongly to a little bit of attention. It's sad frankly.

No, there's not as many women as men who do it. I've never known a woman who did it.

Depends on the generation. There have been several recent studies that show that among young adults under 35, married women actually cheat more than married men, by about 10%. Hearing about these wild bachelorette parties doesn't surprise me one bit. People do really dumb stuff when they are drunk, and there is less stigma associated with this kind of behavior.

Generally speaking, millennials have a very different view of life and marriage.

That surprises me a great deal. I would have thought that more MM would have been cheating

I'm not totally clear on loveshack's link policy, but hopefully this link is OK. This is the third study I have seen that confirms this trend of women not only closing the cheating gap, but moving ahead in the millennial generation.

https://ifstudies.org/blog/who-cheats-more-the-demographics-of-cheating-in-america

In every generation that gap has shrunk, until millennials, when it flipped.

Another interesting study shows that for millennials under 35, there are twice as many incel males as females. That means that some guys are having a lot of sex, while others go without. That tells me that girls are chasing the same popular guys. We hear that a lot here in OM/OW forum. A guy may have a wife and a couple of "girl friends". The girl friends are a mix of married and single women.
