Author JS17 Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 alpha not such a bad guy...... ZERO respect for women No offense Alpha but I think even you would admit that. I'm sure you're a fine person but I wouldn't want to be with anyone that disrespects or hates women.
alphamale Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 ZERO respect for women nope, I have great respect for women I'm sure you're a fine person but I wouldn't want to be with anyone that disrespects or hates women. actually, JS17, I think when it comes to dating and mating that women are much smarter than men. that is why I think men need to be educated on what is going on. i'm just trying to even the playing field. the world would be a sad, sad place without girls...
Art_Critic Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Well.... so much for the LS love affair .. It was shortlived.. About 4 posts

Author JS17 Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 I'm not sure there was any affair there. I believe my initial response was NO And please don't make Tudor cry anymore. The thought of a life based on punching the clown is too much for him. Be kind.

Mz. Pixie Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 "older folk" usually hang out at the more high-end bars and restaurants cause they can afford it. they pull up in their jaguars, wearing Armani suits and sipping vodka martinis made with Belvedere vodka at $12 per pop + tip. This is where you'll also find golddiggerus americanus...." This is so true. My hubby has a second job waiting tables at what you would call a four star joint here. The place to go for expensive food. Every Wednesday night the bar is full of these people. I seriously believe that some of these women have goldigger as their profession. We ran into two of them one night at another establishment. Beautiful but every single thing about them screamed golddigger. He said it's so depressing to him to see them all lined up the same old ones every week hitting on each other or trying to score. He said "Thank God I don't have to be doing that when I'm 40 or 50".

Beautiful but every single thing about them screamed golddigger. golddiggerus americanus is quite easy to spot in her native habitat, the expensive bar or restaurant. here are some things to look for, binoculars not needed: -wears designer clothes and expensive shoes -nice jewelery, rings, necklaces, earrings -heavy make up and nice hairdo -usually age 35+ -may have cosmetic surgery including breast enhancement -talks about the opera, orchestra or the last play she saw -usually has an expensive but fruity drink in her hand such as a cosmopolitan -acts all prim and proper -may mention her rich ex husband who left her for his secretary -likes to talk about money, private schools, BMWs and investing
Author JS17 Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 golddiggerus americanus just so we're clear, that's not me but it was funny.
pearlsasinger Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 JS, I can relate to your frustrations. This has happened a few times to me: Last week I was telling someone that I graduated last year and she thought I meant from high school. I'm almost 24! I am happy to have a "youthful" face, but it's a bit more of a challenge to be taken seriously in the workplace and by clients when you look like an 18-year-old girl! As for the dating thing, well my bf is just turning 21. So I guess I got me youngin' to go with my baby face. (Luckily his maturity level is higher and not that of most 21-year-old guys I've known.) As long as you are dressing age appropriately, I agree on not changing your wardrobe. After all, you want to attract a man who likes you for you. If jeans are you, then wear jeans!

Oh man tell me about it!!! The fact that I don't have a penis means that I won't be taken seriously. The fact that I don't have a penis AND I look like I just graduated college, forget it. Luckily they respect my intelligence but I could never really move up too far. That's why I don't care and I spend all day at work on LS and other sites. As long as you are dressing age appropriately, I agree on not changing your wardrobe. After all, you want to attract a man who likes you for you. If jeans are you, then wear jeans! This is what I was trying to get across but I don't think I did a good job of it. Thanks!
basscatcher Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 This post is a hoot... Yet it is serious.. I couild really take a spin off this post and all the threads into a B*t&h session about my complaints.. Wow, I have this issue also when it comes to younger men hitting on me.. I wonder why younger men make the move and older ones dont. I see plenty of men around my age. They look, I look and I smile. Yet they dont approach They keep looking and never make a move.. But then the younger guys come along, I dont even look at them and they approach me. Go figure this... I wont cut my hair because I like long hair and I already believe I dress my age. I've been told to dress more fun (sexy, 20ish) and I won't go to that extreme. I've tried different looks it doesnt work. I think it has to do with how you physically handle yourself. EX: When I'm sober-I'm more shy and conservative and I dont get hit on. When I'm drinking-I'm carefree, laughing, joking, letting loose and I get hit on by younger men... So I beleive it has to do with body language as in how approachable you are and what kind of approach should be used..

QUOTE] You know how hard it is to tell one's age these days just by looking at them? You two think you look young because of your baby faces but a 16 year old can dress herself up to pass as 22 or 23 which is trouble. But there are women I think are 25 to 27 but they are really 38. Good for them though. Be proud of your slow aging and baby face and show your age in other arenas. As guy who has had a baby face most of my twenties I faced the same professional challenges of being taken seriously too. But they can be over come by proven yourself on the professional level so that your age is back seat to your capibilities and quality of work.

The next time a middle aged man calls you sweetheart at work then we'll talk.
TUDOR Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 The next time a middle aged man calls you sweetheart at work then we'll talk. Ok, can't argue with you there. But as women you always have the upper hand because you will always have something men want.
Author JS17 Posted September 22, 2005 Author Posted September 22, 2005 Ok, can't argue with you there. But as women you always have the upper hand because you will always have something men want. Outside the office, I couldn't agree with you more Tudor. I'm not sure it works the same in the office. It's not always easy but it's worth it. (personally, i'm looking for a career change anyway)
alphamale Posted September 22, 2005 Posted September 22, 2005 Ok, can't argue with you there. But as women you always have the upper hand because you will always have something men want. lets not denigrate ourselves TUDOR. Men have things that women want also, such as resources (money) and penises

Women on the other had can dangle their goods as long as need be to get what they want.
