What do you think? I think this is true to some extent as married people subconsciously feel an obligation to fight when they have a life threatening health condition. Married folks are more motivated to take care of themselves because they know their health not only effects them but also their spouse and kids.

 

A single person has no unspoken obligation to fight for their life. If a single person gets cancer then giving up and laying down and waiting to die is their business if that's what they want to do.

 

I think the bottom line is if you want to die sooner then stay single. Forget about relationships.
