Brian505 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Hi I'm Brian I'm 16 years old and I have a problem, all my friends from school have girlfriend's and I don't. I live a really great life I'm not so good at school but my weekends are superfun, my dad flies us to our holiday home on saterday morning, I surf for a few hours then I spearfishing and then go fishing in the evening with some friends, and that's just my Saturday. The guys from school who enjoy getting blackout drunk on the weekend some how don't have a problem getting with girls. I currently believe that if I get a girlfriend I will have less fun, cause I'm really competitive and I don't think there's a single girl who will be able too keep up. I'm not poor, ugly or introverted. I am completely comfortable with myself. Im not sure what to do? Thanks for the help. Brian
ExpatInItaly Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Are you gone every weekend? If so, most girls won't be too thrilled about having a boyfriend who isn't around to hang out with come Saturday. How would you even meet one if you're rarely around? Also, if you truly believe you'll have less fun with a girlfriend, why bother right now? Us ladies pick up on those vibes from a guy and are generally more attracted to the ones who don't see having a girlfriend as a hindrance. There could be something about your disposition and belief girls can't keep up with you that drives them away. I wouldn't worry about it for the time being. You're young and having fun. I don't think you're quite ready for a girlfriend at this point in your life, which is fine. You do you. 1
Versacehottie Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 I think you should keep enjoying your life. It's high school, you will have time for a girlfriend when a SPECIFIC girl makes you feel like "in between" wanting the things you do now on the weekend and wanting to spend time with her. Don't feel any pressure to be like the other guys or keep up with them. It's also high school so they will probably cycle in and out of those relationships and have times where they are single and enjoy being single. They are probably envious of some of your free time and the things you do right now. Some girl will be able to keep up with you, lol, you just haven't found her yet. It may not be exactly in the way you expect but she will be able to keep up with you, trust that. Good luck
BJP1991 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 You're so young! Don't be worried. I am a 27 year old male and when I look back to that age in my life, I almost wish I had not dated other girls, just because it takes away from everything else you could have going on. Don't be concerned about it - if a girl is awesome for you, she will fit into your life in the most natural way. 1
smackie9 Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 Who said you had to have A GF? Why not have GFs? Just keep it casual and not commit to anyone so you can do whatever you want. Are there any girls hanging around where you go each weekend? There's got to be a hot girl or two on that beach that is surfing too. Oh and the reason why the other dudes are busy smashing their GFs or girls, is because they are all drunk and partying.
kendahke Posted March 4, 2019 Posted March 4, 2019 (edited) I currently believe that if I get a girlfriend I will have less fun, cause I'm really competitive and I don't think there's a single girl who will be able too keep up. until this line of thinking changes, you're not going to be successful with people, especially girls. There are women out there who are just as competitive as you are--but if you can't stand being bested, especially by a girl, then this won't work, either. Not many girls are cool with not having access to their boyfriends every weekend--only the ones who are shallow, attention seekers or already have boyfriends will tolerate this level of neglect. You're going to have to be way more accessible to girls on the weekend--or choose to keep doing what you're doing and being by yourself while doing it. Edited March 4, 2019 by kendahke
