1 compliment per date

The general rule is that in the early stages of dating when she is not the girlfriend I give her 1 compliment per date and that's at the tail end of the date saying "Thank you for your time" or "Thank you for dinner" if she asked me out.

 

Big mistake for guys to give a woman too many compliments in the early stages as it makes her suspicious of his motives.

 

Actually the same rule applies for women too. I don't like it when a woman compliments me on a date. It attacks my comfort level. If she tells me how handsome I look I just want to end the date and get out of there.

 

Only a woman with low self esteem eats up the compliments. Women with healthy self esteeem already know they are knockouts and don't need the constant compliments.

IMO... I think following silly dating rules will only hold you back. I like getting compliments and just a "Thank You" at the end of the evening seems a bit stingy... especially if I bought a new dress or had my hair and nails done just to go out with you. I would be thinking you weren't into me.
