How is your marriage going? What are you doing to bring your marriage back from the brink? Do you still think of your AP while doing this? I know a lot of folks had that feeling your AP was your best friend. Does this hinder you from becoming best friends with your spouse? Is it even possible?

But I'll try for a simple answer. I was seriously smitten with OW. She was not my best friend (W was and still is) but she fascinated me. Funny and kind and smart. I truly compartmentalized the whole thing but then Dday came and the compartments blew up. I had never planned to leave my M and I did not. We are still together. I'd say we are best friends now. I have done a lot of work. W has stood by me and our M, not in a needy way but in a strong way.

 

Yet despite the number of years that have passed with NC, I still think about AP quite often.
